I’m Kyle Kluis, known simply as “Bob”, or “Kluis” to my close friends and I’m a 21 year old sports fanatic. Deceptively Athletic was started as a mass media project in Comm 220 at MiraCosta College. The name of the site is a commonly used sports idiom to describe players that make ridiculously athletic plays that no one saw coming due to stature or playstyle, usually in basketball. As a self-proclaimed 2-time assistant coach of the year at Carlsbad High School and lifelong NBA fan, I like to think that I know a thing or two about basketball. While I’m a fan of most all sports, basketball is definitely my specialty. Fact: Taking a charge is the most exciting play in basketball.
